JOB ROLES
  • Manage and coordinate the team in providing input for design mechanical piping parts (including piping component and system, pressure vessel, bolted flange joint) in relation to parts stresses; Evaluate and establish main selection criteria and design codes for mechanical piping parts; Prepare and establish the main operational considerations for mechanical piping parts and systems; Evaluate and identify common failure modes found in mechanical piping; Decide the steps that must be taken to resolve the problem to ensure mechanical piping parts and systems according to project design, project specification and HSSE requirements;
  • Review project specification developed during FEED that used to design Pressure Vessel, mechanical equipment and piping;
  • Manage and coordinate team in reviewing the detail design of mechanical static parts (including Heat Exchangers, Cryogenic Exchanger, Heaters and Fired Heater Equipment, Valves/ Pressure Safety Valves (PSV), Storage Tanks, Flare System) for OLNG project; selection criteria and design codes; operational considerations; common failure modes; maintenance requirements of heat exchangers to ensure the spare parts are in accordance with the project design, project specification & HSSE standard;
  • Manage the team in providing mechanical (static/piping) technical inputs; Evaluate and establish technical recommendation in tenders related to Onshore LNG plant (OLNG) development project; Maintain good communication and coordination with Contractors; Monitor and review Contractors performance in order to select the appropriate contractors and Contractors deliverables according to contract;
  • Coordinate and prepare mechanical (static/piping) work program and budget including its supporting documents; Manage to get all required approval from the Head Quarters, Management, Business Partners, and SKKMIGAS and provide direction and strategy to accelerate the approval process; to ensure the SKKMIGAS administrative requirement is accomplished and approved within the timeline as a basis of cost recovery;
  • Monitor process and evaluate plant layout and 3D models; Establish Mechanical and structure engineering input on risk assessment for OLNG Facilities; Monitor and review mechanical equipment specification, data sheets, Request for Quotations, and Technical Bid Evaluations provided by Contractor to ensure each equipment meets process design and performance requirements and ensure project safety, maintainability and operability;
  • Monitor and evaluate best practice in other OLNG projects; Recommend and apply technology best practices during designing and selecting the equipment and materials; Manage any change occurrence in OLNG project, implementation of MOC policy and procedures, relevant documentations, and records as tracking system; monitor interface communication among related Parties, issues, and potential risks; to ensure interface management of each arisen change in OLNG project is implemented properly within the timelines, and minimize unpredictable change impact to overall project schedule and cost;
  • Ensure both FEED design output competitively meet Company requirements, and all technical intellectual property is kept as confidential information.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. Advanced degree in Mechanical/Machinery Engineering is preferable.
  • Minimum 10 years in upstream Oil and Gas Industry. LNG plant Mechanical Engineer Project and Operation experiences are required.
