Job Purpose

Provide high level professional expertise, support and advice on legal issues related to all matters concerning contracts & agreements, particularly on crude and/or gas sales contracts, service contracts, drilling contracts, lease agreements, SURF/FFD FEED, EPCI and O&M agreements, and all other relevant and related oil & gas industry contract & agreements ("Contracts"); and provide review, advice on, draft, prepare and maintain standard model contracts & agreements.

 

Main Roles & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor contract and agreement matters and provide high level professional expertise and support to such contract including reviewing, advising, drafting, preparing and maintaining standard model contracts & agreements.

  • Coordinate, monitor and provide high level professional expertise and support to: ensure all INPEX contracts & agreements are in compliance with (i) all applicable laws and regulations, and guidelines including PTK-007 (as revised), (ii) INPEX policies, guidelines and procedures, and (iii) the highest professional standards

  • Coordinate, monitor and provide all relevant Departments and Teams with advice, counsel and support on contracts & agreements, particularly on crude and/or gas sales contracts, service contracts,employment contracts, lease agreements, project contracts/agreements, and all other relevant and related oil & gas industry contract & agreements ("Contracts")

  • Monitor, review, update and advise on current laws, rules & regulations, policies & procedures, including compliance and corporate governance; human resources, employment law and industrial relations; and land law and permitting with respect to litigation and dispute related matter

  • Coordinate and monitor to provide advice and assistance to the Company, Chief Counsel, SCM and Legal Department, and representation on INPEX Procurement and Tender Committees.

  • Review, monitor and evaluate the process of engaging outside legal services for asset/projected related matters and in assessing their performance.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Law. Masters and other advanced post-graduate degree on Law preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience with 8 years of legal experience in the oil and gas industry with a focus on contract/agreement drafting and advice, preferably with international experience/ background, fluent in English both speaking and writing with a strong ability to draft legal documents in English.

  • PTK 007 (its latest revisions)

  • Advocate License
